During July 21-31, 2020, social inventory of five products in 20 cities
attained 12.57 million tons, up 170,000 tons or 1.4% from July 11-21,
2020 and down 7.64 million tons or 37.8% from the peak in early March.
In terms of regions, compared with the inventory in July 11-21, social
inventory of steel products rose by 210,000 tons or 8.9% in Southwest
China while dropped by 5.7% in middle China.
During July 21-31, 2020, the inventory of rebar, wire rod and HRC
increased from July 11-21 while CRC and medium and heavy plate
decreased.
