Turkey imported 9.7077 million
tonnes of steel scrap in H1 2020, up by 7.8% year-on-year, which is
valued at 2.674 million US dollars, down 6.9% from the same period last
year.
The imports from EU accounted
for 62.5% (6.0707 million tonnes), up 3.4% year-on-year. That from U.S.
accounted for 20.3% (1.9659 million tonnes), up 21% y-o-y.
In June, Turkey imported 1.535
million tonnes of steel scrap, up 18.78% from the same month last year.
