According to preliminary statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the imports of US’ hot-rolled coil (HRC) totaled around 111,300 tons in July, rising by 0.9% month on month while falling by 22.3% year on year.
Among them, Canada ranked first with the largest US’ HRC imports of around 67,100 tons, compared to 65,700 tons in the previous month and 84,400 tons in July 2019. Other sources included South Korea, the Netherlands, Japan, and Mexico, with a separate volume of around 13,500 tons, 12,100 tons, 10,000 tons, and 2,800 tons.
