According to statistics, Taiwan imported around 358,000 tons of scrap in August, growing by 29.6% compared to the same month a year ago.
Among them, the imports from the US accounted for 41.26% of the total, the largest proportion, totaling around 148,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.19% and a year-on-year increase of 29.82%; followed by Japan, accounting for 28.33%, with roughly 102,000 tons, a month-on-month hike of 6.41% and a year-on-year rise of 25.85%.
