Eurasian Resources Group
(ERG) shipped 618,000 tonnes of iron ore to China in August
2020, hitting an all-time record high. This milestone was
achieved by the concerted effort from Sokolov-Sarybai Mining
Production Association (SSGPO), ERG’s iron ore entity in
Kazakhstan, and TransCom LLP, the Group’s railway operator.
ERG began increasing
iron ore shipments to China in April this year. Over the past
eight months, TransCom has shipped 3.2 million tonnes of iron
ore and is expected to deliver an additional 1.5 million tonnes
to the China before the end of 2020.
In August 2020 alone,
SSGPO mined 1.4 million tonnes of iron ore (including
concentrate fines). |
