China’s National Standard for
Recycling Steel Coordination Meeting was
held by Qiu Qiwen, the head of the solid waste and chemical management
department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, in Beijing on 23
September 2020,
Jiang Wei, Deputy Secretary
of CPC of China Iron and Steel Association, suggested China should
quickly institute national standards for the recycling steel, making
good use of recycling steel products originated from domestic market and
abroad.
Lu Chunsheng, Senior Engineer of
China Metallurgical Information and Standardization Institute, detailed
the technical specification and inspection rules for bettering imports.
Other issues like taxation, HS
code, and product varieties were also discussed during the meeting.
In early this October, the
kick-off discussions about the new standards for recycling steel will be
held by the standard-setting board. |
