The European Commission (EC) announced on October 7 to impose anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of hot-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils from Taiwan, China, and Indonesia, to offset the losses caused by dumping goods. The relevant measure takes into force from today (October 8), with a validity of five years.
According to the ruling made by the EC, the highest AD duties for Indonesia and China were set at 17.3% and 19%, respectively.
Taiwan's Yieh United Steel Corp. (YUSCO) and Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd. will be levied a duty of 4.1%, and other mills were subject to a rate of 7.5%.
