With the total investment of 12 billion yuan, the Phase III project is a key project of Jiangsu Xusteel Group’s transformation and upgrading.
Phase III project consists of iron and steel project and logistics project, planning to build an advanced 2120m3 blast furnace with one 120t converter, one 120t LF refining furnace and four quality steel production lines.
After the completion of the iron and steel project, the iron-making steel capacity will be totaled 3.08 million tons and steel-making capacity attained 3.05 million tons, contributing to the upgrading of product mix and the reduce of production cost.
SteelHome learned that iron-making capacity and steel-making capacity in Xuzhou will be compressed to 8.827 million tons and 9.1 million tons. 15 steel producers out of 18 have been shut down.
