On October 13, price of I grade metallurgical coke (CSR65) in Taiyuan, Shanxi delivered to Tangshan was 2200 yuan/t; that of standard I grade metallurgical coke was 1830 yuan/t (picked up by buyers).
Currently, most coking plants ship smoothly, supply of which falls short of demand.
About capacity replacement in Taiyuan, it’s known that enterprise G will shut down an old factory with capacity at 900,000 t on October 15. Further 900,000 t will be eliminated by the end of this month. 1#coking oven in new factory with capacity at 750,000 t will have coke produced on October 20.
Enterprise M phased out 800,000 t and 1.6mn t will be reduced by October-end. 4# coking oven in the new plant with capacity at 1mn t will churn out coal at the end of this month.
1.54mn t in Gujiao, 1.5mn t in Yangqu and 600,000 t in Loufan, three counties in Taiyuan will be eliminated by the end of October.
At present, Taiyuan has a total of 11.94mn t in production. By the end of October, 7.04mn t will be phased out.
