On October 29, price of standard I grade metallurgical coke quoted
by traders rose by 30 yuan to 2100-2130 yuan/t (in cash, picked up by
buyers), basically no shipment at a low price. Inventory at ports
reached a record low since 2019, which led to less tradable resources.
Currently, some traders take a wait-and-see attitude given high price at
ports and they have no intention to transport coke on ports if no
orders.
FOT price of standard I grade metallurgical coke was 2170-2190 yuan/t
(bank acceptance); that of I grade metallurgical coke (CSR65) was 2290
yuan/t.
