According to Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, coal price in the province went down amid stable market supply in March 2024. The thermal coal storage can last for about 30 days in power plants in the province.
In March, the selling price of coal averaged 1,045.66 yuan per ton, down 14% year on year. Of this, that of anthracite and bituminous coal separately averaged 1,359.84 yuan and 888.58 yuan per ton, down 16.3% and 12.1% year on year.
It is expected that coal price in the province will run weakly with fluctuation in April.
