Findings:
1. The wire rod capacity utilization at 99 Chinese steel mills that
represents 188 production lines was 82.98% in week ending March 7, 2019,
up 0.53% from last survey.
2. In terms of production lines, running production lines was 156 out of
total 188, meaning operating rate was 82.98%, up 0.53% from last survey.
3. In terms of wire rod capacity, running capacity was 109.27 million
tons out of 129.20 million tons, making capacity utilization of 84.57%,
up 1.39% from last period.
4. Wire rod daily production for this week was 281,100 tons, up 600 tons
from last survey.
