Findings:
1. The rebar capacity utilization at 121 Chinese steel mills that
represents 272 production lines was 85.29% in week ending March 14,
2019, flat from last survey.
2. In terms of production lines, running production lines was 232 out of
total 272, meaning operating rate was 85.29%, flat from last survey.
3. In terms of rebar capacity, running capacity was 197.73 million tons
out of 230.12 million tons, making capacity utilization of 85.92%, down
0.27% from last period.
4. Rebar daily production for this week was 536,700 tons, up 6,300 tons
from last survey.
