Findings:
1. The HRC capacity utilization at 38 Chinese steel mills that
represents 69 production lines was 97.1% in week ending March 14, 2019,
up 1.45% from last survey.
2. In terms of production lines, running production lines was 67 out of
total 69, meaning operating rate was 97.1%, up 1.45% from last survey.
3. In terms of HRC capacity, running capacity was 234.57 million tons
out of 238.57 million tons, making capacity utilization of 98.32%, up
1.46% from last period.
4. HRC daily production for this week was 478,200 tons, up 4,400 tons or
0.93% from last survey.
