On August 14-16, 2020,
16th Steel Development Strategy Conference, hosted by SteelHome,
was successfully held in Shanghai Tower. Around 800 delegates from

The development of China's special steel industry is facing
unprecedented changes. At present, China's special steel output
ranks the first in the world, and the product structure is constantly
optimized.
The rapid development of domestic downstream industries places higher
demands on special steel. In the field of ultra-thick,
corrosion-resistant steel for marine platforms, a number of technologies
have reached the world's advanced level, laying a solid foundation for
the development of China's Marine economy. In the field of ultra-large
continuous casting round billets, the technological advancement of
special steel has filled the world's gaps.
The future development direction: A) China Special Steel Industry will
focus more on new products, quality and performance. B) China will speed
up mergers and acquisitions, and cultivate a group of special steel
