As per statistics from General Administration of Customs, China imported 11.671 million tons of coal in November 2020, down 9.11 million tons or 43.84% from the same period of last year, and down 2.055 million tons or 14.97% from October 2020.
In November, coal import amount totaled 674.7 million dollars, down 57.82% year over year or down 26.74% month on month. It is estimated that coal import price was averaged at 57.81 dollars/t, down 19.16 dollars/t on year or down 9.29 dollars/t on month.
In January-November 2020, China imported 264.826 million tons, down 10.8% year on year. The import amount in the given period was 18.2854 billion dollars, down 21.2% year on year.
