As Tangshan government lifted Level II Emergency Response to Heavily
Polluted Weather on March 15, BF-based steel mills gradually resume
production. As of March 16 (12 am), 21 blast furnaces (26,198m3)
of 14 steel mills gradually resumed production, then daily average
output of hot metal increases by 72,000 tons per day. The left blast
furnaces, halted production earlier due to the failure in emission
reduction as required, will also resume production later.
