It was originally predicted that supply and demand will be balanced or oversupply in 2021. Now jointly affected by market factors and policy, both steel prices and profits are high, providing capital basis for steel industry to reach the carbon peak.

At present, carbon emissions in the steel industry account for nearly 20% of the total. The profit of steel mills above 500 yuan may be the norm in the future.

In the future, steel mills’ carbon emission rights determine its market share, and supply will not increase as the government determines to reduce the output. Therefore, investing in steel stocks will have a better prospect in the future, but we should be cautious of the current market.
