XVII Steel Development Strategy Conference, hosted by SteelHome, was
successfully held in Shanghai Tower during 9-11 April, 2021. Over 1,000
delegates from governments, associations, steel mills, miners, traders,
research institutes and media attended.
The 10th International Steel Raw Materials Supply Chain Summit, 11th
International Coal & Coke Development Strategy Summit, 9th China
Commodities E-Commerce Summit and 2021 SteelHome Spring Report were
simultaneously held.

Five Year plan

Development status of bearing industry in the 13th Five Year plan:
China's bearing industry has maintained a steady growth trend on the
whole, and its technology research and development capability and
technological equipment level have been greatly improved, its product
structure has been gradually upgraded to the middle and high end, and
its product quality has been steadily improved, basically meeting the
supporting needs of national economy and national defense construction.
The standard, technology, equipment and test level have been improved
significantly. However, the following problems still exist:
1. Low price competition among manufacturers
2. Separation of upstream and downstream technology cooperation
3. Lack of high-level talents.
The development trend of the 14th Five Year plan is as follows:
1. The position of bearing manufacturing center in the world will not
change obviously
2. Industrial structure adjustment, key technology upgrading and
self-made high-end bearings are accelerated to meet the requirements of
China’s manufacturing power.
Market situation:
1. Market competition will be more intense
2. Competitive characteristics change to quality priority
3. Enterprise brand and geographical location will become important
