Wuhai, a major coke-producing city in northern China's Inner Mongolia, produced 3.96 million tonnes of coke during January-March, rising 12.48% compared with a year ago, according to local Industry and Information Technology Bureau.
CHN Energy produced 792,200 tonnes of coke during the first three months, rising 10.5% from a year ago. Yellow River Group churned out 544,000 tonnes, up 148.4%.
Output of Inner Mongolia Meifang Coal Coking declined 2.9% year on year to 505,100 tonnes; and Inner Mongolia Guangna Coal Industry produced 299,500 tonnes of coke, rising 0.27% from a year ago.
Overall capacity utilization at local coke firms stood at 95%.
