BHP
reported 1Q21 iron ore
production decreased by 2% y/o/y to 66.7 million tonnes in Pilbara.
Samarco production was 878 thousand tonnes during the quarter.
The
production volumes for the 2021 financial year are
expected to be in the upper half of the guidance range of between 244
and 253 Mt (276 and 286 Mt on a 100 per cent
basis).
The South
Flank project is 95% complete, with the target date of initial
production in Mid-CY21.
