China Steel Industry Summit for 2022 Market, hosted by SteelHome, was successfully held in East China’s Nanjing City during 29-31 October, 2021. Over 900 delegates from governments, associations, steel mills, miners, traders, research institutes and media attended the summit.

Guo Lijuan, vice secretary general of the Brand Association of China Coking Coal and vice director of Shanxi Coking Coal Sales and Trade Service Center, presided over the raw material panel and made a speech. Here are some key viewpoints from her speech:

I. Coking coal is the scarce strategic resource in the world which can be used in low-carbon, zero-carbon and carbon-negative applications.

II. During the 14th and 15th five-year plan period, the supply and demand of prime coking coal will maintain in a tight condition.

III. Steel, coke and coal, as a high degree of market-oriented industry chain, will continue to keep this direction in the future.
