On November 12, 2021, Thailand's Committee of Dumping and Subsidy announced its final ruling of anti-dumping (AD) orders on chrome-coated steel plate in rolls and not in rolls originating in China, South Korea, and the EU, deciding to impose a five-year AD duty based on CIF prices on subject goods from the above-mentioned countries.
The AD duty rate for China was set at 4.53%-24.73%, and no duty will be imposed on GDH Zhongyue (Zhongshan) Tinplate Industry Co., Ltd. South Korea received a duty rate of 3.95%-17.06%, and the EU will be subject to 18.52%.
The scope of this AD duty implementation excludes painted, laminated, or printed galvanized or chrome-plated steel plates, in rolls and non-rolls.
The products involved are classified under HS codes 7210.50.00.021, 7210.50.00.022, 7210.50.00.023, 7210.50.00.024, 7210.50.00.025, 7210.50.00.026, 7210.50.00.029, and 7210.50.00.090.
The original AD investigation was launched on May 7, 2020 at the request of domestic enterprises.
