According to statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s shipments of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled around 487,200 tons in March this year, up by 25% compared to the previous month while dropping by 6% from the year-ago period.
Among them, 49% were shipped to the domestic market, and the remains were to export markets.
During the same period, Japan’s production of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled approximately 467,800 tons, a month-on-month increase of nearly 15% and a year-on-year decrease of 7%.
