According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s stainless steel coils imports totaled 303,000 tons in the first four months of this year, growing by 30% compared to the corresponding period a year earlier.
Among them, the imports from China accounted for the largest proportion, totaling 132,000 tons, surging by 71.4% year on year. The volume in April alone was 35,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 35%.
Indonesia ranked second with 70,000 tons, soaring by 233.3% year on year. South Korea was in the third position with 36,500 tons, down by 38% year on year.
