According to statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s shipments of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled around 414,000 tons in April this year, down by 15% compared to the previous month while increasing by 3.5% from the year-ago period.Among them, 55.4% of them were shipped to the domestic market, and the remains were to export markets.
During the same period, Japan’s production of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled approximately 368,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 21.3% and a year-on-year drop of 20%.
