ArcelorMittal, the world’s leading steelmaker in Europe, decided to temporarily stop the operation of blast furnace A at its plant in Gijón, Spain in September last year due to high energy prices, weak steel demand, and economic downturn, and it recently planned to restart this blast furnace in February.
