According
to Customs of China, China imported 83.08 million tons of iron ore in
February, a decrement of 1.188 million tons or down 1.4 percent on year.
The shipments fell by 8.184 million tons from January imports. Daily
import in the month was up 0.8 percent from the daily shipment in January.
Average import price was 77.5 dollars per ton (CIF, China), up 3.3 dollars
from the average price in January.
The
combined imports in Jan.-Feb totaled 174.401 million tons, falling by
10.243 million tons or down 5.5 percent on year. Average price in two
months was 75.7 dollars per ton (CIF China), up 1.9 dollars on year.
